QB cells are a budget-friendly Chinese cell. They are medium power cells that are designed to be used at 7A continuous or less. They perform excellent when used at a similar current range to our V1.6 battery building kits – 3.5A continuous and 5A peak. While they can be used at 7A continuous as per the manufacturer’s rating, we usually recommend that battery builders avoid pushing any cell to its max power rating, as performance can decrease when approaching the cell’s rated limit.
What QB cells lack in power compared to other 10A or 15A cells, they make up for in affordability.
These cells still offer good power though, and they are best used with more cells in parallel if you need a higher power pack. If you need very high power cells though, you should check out our Samsung 25R or 30Q cells.
If you are familiar with Samsung 26F cells, these QB cells are very similar in terms of performance and specs, but at a better price.
With a 2,600 mAh capacity rating, they have mid-range storage capacity. If you want the absolute highest capacity 18650 cells though, you’ll want to check out our 3,500 mAh LG MJ1 cells.
These cells are the best option for those looking for new, quality cells that are an affordable alternative to brand name cells such as Samsung and LG which can cost twice as much.
This item includes two cells. So when ordering, remember to divide the total number of cells you need by two. If you need 50 cells, add quantity 25 to your cart and you’ll get 50 cells total.
