Hi,

I'm building an 8s2p q30 flat pack with instructions from this video( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D90heZ8z4s) . Due to space constraints(small skateboard) I want to avoid protruding busbars for the flexible series connection on one end, and for the plus and minus terminals on the other(on an 8s, my terminals are in the middle). I was wondering if sandwitching my 12 gauge silicone stranded wire between two busbars (picture below) would give me a good enough connection. Would simply soldering the wire to the busbar be the preferred method.

Honestly your method is probably perfectly robust for the application.
