Hi,

I have an e-bike with an SLA battery pack, and I'd like to upgrade to Lithium. Your kit looks like a good match for what I want to do, but I want to wait for the v2.0 parts to be available. I'm going to need a 52-cell, ~48V battery. I already have plenty of cells, but I missed your KS campaign.

The only problem I can see is that, while the v1.5 kit has enough parts to make my battery, the v2.0 kit only has 30 cells worth of parts. That means, to get my desired 52-cell battery, I would have to buy 60 cells worth of parts. While I could probably make use of the remainder for making smaller packs for other projects, it would be nice to be able to order the exact amount. I realize the price would go up due to the better-quality parts, but it is still cheaper than buying parts I don't really need.

Can this be changed by the time the parts become available to order?

Thanks!

For now we only have kits available in the set quantity of parts, as it greatly reduces complexity of the ordering system. We'd actually have to charge more if the kits were sold with every possible quantity combination as the packaging process would be much more involved.

Hi Micah,

Your article about battery kit building is my BIBLE!

I built a 14s11p lithium battery pack carefully using your

instructions as my guide and it worked like a champ.

You are a PRO man ... thanks for being there like a

Bright Star for us to follow.

I would like you to know too that I fallowed your

recommendations when it comes to instrumentation.

I bought a Satiator charger from Grin Tech of Canada

and the latest Spot Welding equipment from China.

I would like also to experiment with your New v2 version

of your Battery Building Blocks . How  much max current can

it handle and when is it available for us to order.

Thanks a lot!...  Muchos Gracias Seniour! 🤪

Thanks Roy! The V2 kits are rated for 20A continuous discharge each, though they've been independently tested at currents as much as 50% higher than that. But we tried to rate them conservatively, and there aren't really many cells on the market that can sustain 30A continuous discharge either.
